Mrs. Hattie Mae “Mu” Trammell — 1926-2019

Mrs. Hattie Mae “Mu” Trammell, 93, born on Feb. 2, 1926, went home to be the with the Lord peaceably on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at her home.

A visitation will be held on June 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET at Morgan & Sons Funeral Home. A celebration of her Life will be held June 29th at 2 p.m. ET at Union Springs Baptist Church 6708 Whitesville Rd. in West Point, with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Union Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in West Point.

Hattie Mae was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church. Affectionately known as “Mu” by many, she worked at West Georgia Medical Center for 21 years and retired from the Florence Hand Home. Mrs. Hattie Mae’s home was always open for everyone and she truly loved her family with all of her heart.

She is survived her loving daughter Willie Mae (Sidney) Flowers of West Point, her loving sons, Ollie B. (the late Sarah) Todd of West Point, David Todd of West Point, Phillip (Theresa) Todd Sr. of West Point, Michael Todd of West Point, special daughter Jeanette (Tinkle Bell) Johnson of West Point, a step-son Joseph Trammell of West Point, two brothers Willie Henry Todd of Brooklyn, New York, and Eddie Joe Todd of LaGrange. Two sisters-in-law Mary Hall and Betty Trammell of West Point, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who she adored.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Trammell, her mother Julia Bell, her father John Todd, her sons Billy Joe Todd, George Henry Todd, and Alfred Todd. Her sisters Kate Bridges, Eunice Todd-Booker, Minnie Bell Todd-Truitt, Lizzie Todd, Mildred Todd and brothers Robert Lewis Todd, Johnnie Roy (Todd) Davidson and John Thomas Todd.

Morgan & Sons Funeral Home of Lanett is directing.
