Mr. Henry Foster Sanders, 75, of LaFayette, died suddenly on July 16 at his residence.

Sanders was born in LaFayette June 24, 1944, to the late William Roy Sanders and the late

Mildred Yancey Sanders. He attended LaFayette High School and Jacksonville State University. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked at Winn Dixie and later was self-employed with “Lil” Henry’s store in Five Points.

Services will be held on July 27 at 1 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home with private burial at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Yancey Sanders officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service.

He is survived by his sister, Margie Sanders Crews; stepson, Robert P. Gay, Jr (Connie); stepdaughter, Jonee Moreman; nephew, Bill Dye (Shannan); four grandchildren, Kelli Nicole Gay Benedict, Robert E. Gay (Lucy), Whitney Nelson (Curt), Haywood Davis Lambert (Courtney); and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Davis Sanders; brother, Danny Sanders; sister, June Dye Warmack; and niece, Debbie Dye Gandy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
