Mrs. Francette Maddux Haynes — 1936-2019

Mrs. Francette Maddux Haynes, 82, of Valley, passed away on July 10 at Bethany House in Auburn. She was born on Aug. 19, 1936, in Opelika.

Haynes is survived by her children, Joy (Russell) Janney, of Hogansville, and Chip (Melanie) Haynes, of Pike Road; her grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Hasty, of Jacksonville, Florida, Adam (Harmony) Janney, of Atlanta, Kayla (Daulton) Tullis, of Montgomery, Allie Haynes, of Pike Road, and Holly Haynes, of Pike Road; her great-grandchild, Maddux Hasty, of Jacksonville, Florida, and another great-grandchild that will be here soon; her brother, Frankie Maddux, of Roanoke; her sisters, Bobbie Harris, of St. Stephens, and Sylvia (Bobby) Smoot, of Lanett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Haynes; her brother, Walter L. Maddux.

Haynes was a member of Plant City Baptist Church. She began work for Leslie Scroggs in 1954 and worked there for 47 years. After retiring, she spent 17 years working for Johnson Brown-Service. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on July 13 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Pastor Brad Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
