The Troup County Board of Commissioners hired Lindsay Fenn as its new court services director effective Wednesday, according to a news release from the county Tuesday.

The news release says Fenn has 20 years of professional experience in law and legal services, where she managed budgets, coordinated court schedules, including appointments, hearings, and deadlines and drafted and prepared legal documents and orders, among other tasks.

She currently serves as the Troup County judicial financial administrator, as well as the Judicial administrative assistant to Judge Nina Markette Baker for the Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia.

She simultaneously serves the Troup County Law Library and the Coweta Judicial Circuit ADR Fund as the secretary/treasurer.

Fenn said she is looking forward to beginning her role as court services director and is eager to continue her passion for law and legal services.

“I feel as if my whole career has prepared me for this role, and I’m really excited to hit the ground running,” Fenn said.

As court services director, Fenn will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Troup County’s Superior, State and Magistrate Courts.

The county says her experience with budgeting, fiscal monitoring and management, case-flow management assistance, and court calendar scheduling will make her a strong asset to the court services department and the community.

Fenn graduated from Clayton State University with a bachelor of science degree in legal studies and a master of arts degree in liberal studies.

The county says Fenn is also very active in the Troup County civic engagement and volunteer community. Currently, she is the President of the LaGrange Lions Club, the immediate past Chairperson of Keep Troup Beautiful, a member of the Georgia Council of Court Administrators, and a member of the Troup County Republican Women.

Fenn has been a LaGrange resident for 14 years, and she has two daughters — Anna, 14, and Aubrey, 10.
