Troup County to Host Back to School Supply Drive

Troup County will be launching a back to school supply drive on Monday, July 29. The school supply drive will benefit local children in need and donations will be distributed to schools in the Troup County School System.
The county is welcoming donations from the public and will have several drop-off donation sites available. The following items are encouraged for suggested donations, including but not limited to, backpacks, paper, pencils, scissors, markers, folders, hand sanitizer, tissues, rulers, highlighters, glue sticks/bottles, composition notebooks, headphones, earbuds, crayons, colored pencils, Lysol wipes, and all-purpose cleaner. The following locations will be accepting donations:
- Troup County Government Center, 100 Ridley Ave., LaGrange.
- Mike Daniel Recreation Center, 1220 Lafayette Pkwy., LaGrange.
- Troup County Sheriff’s Office, 130 Sam Walker Dr., LaGrange.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 1, 2471 Hamilton Rd., LaGrange.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 2, 28 Hillcrest Rd., Hogansville.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 4, 360 Long Cane Rd., LaGrange.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 6, 867 Whitfield Rd., Hogansville.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 10, 5605 Roanoke Rd., LaGrange.
- Troup County Fire Department Station 11, 1001 East Main St., Hogansville.
Troup County Fire Department Station 12, 6544 Hamilton Rd., Pine Mountain. Troup County’s school supply drive will continue for two weeks and donations will be accepted until Friday, Aug. 9 before being distributed to local children in need within the Troup County School System.
