Mr. Larry “Joe” Polston, 77, of Telford, Tennessee, passed away on Aug. 17 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Polston was born in Smalltown, Kentucky, the son of the late Clayborn Lee and Lena Belle Epperson Polston. He was also preceded in death by his wife on July 8, Brenda Polston; two grandchildren, Amanda Polston and Holly Polston; 11 brothers and sisters. 

He was a member of Living Word Church of God in Gray.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Burton (Erica), Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two sons, Joey Polston (Amanda), of Buena Vista, Georgia, and Elkan Polston (Candy), of Telford; grandchildren, Destyni Polston, Kaitlyn Polston, Skylar Shoemaker, Trey Shoemaker, Hayley Smith and Megan Polston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Aug. 21 at Living Word Church of God with pastor Steve Guinn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at 2:30 pm on Wednesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
