Cody Jones passed away on Sept. 18 at the age of 23 at the Piedmont Medical Center in Atlanta.

Cody was the son of Eugene and Patty Jones and Serena Clester.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1996. He was a very special person to all who knew him. He liked to listen and dance to music. 

He was known for his quick wit and his kind, compassionate spirit.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iona Clester; great grandparents, John and Vivian Weldon; and his uncle, Bobby Ray Jones. He leaves his parents, Eugene and Patty Jones and mother, Serena Clester; two sisters, Katie (Jason) George and Anna (Carlos) Porter; three brothers, Casey Burke, William (LeAnna) Jones and Steven Sims; one niece and two nephews; grandparents, Gene and Marie Jones and John and Cindy Ellison.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. EDT at the Huguley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Rusty Williams and the Rev. John Eldridge, Sr. will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. EDT until the service hour at the church.
