The funeral service for Jimmie Presley, 79, of Opelika, formerly Valley, will be at 2 p.m. CDT on Sept. 18 at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church, 4829 Veterans Memorial Parkway, in Lanett 36863 with interment in the church cemetery, Dr. James McTier, Jr., Pastor, the Rev. George Rampey, Eulogist.

Mr. Presley, who passed away on Sept. 9 at his home in Opelika, was born on Aug. 10, 1940, in Chambers County.

Public viewing for Mr. Presley was onSept. 17 from 1 p.m. through 7 p.m. CDT. Mr. Presley will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mamie Presley, of Opelika; two granddaughters, Jasmine Bourne and Stephanie Watson, both of Opelika; four sisters, Arund (Howard) Williams, of Valley, Sandra Presley, Arlene Presley and Annette Presley, all of Cleveland; three brothers, Ervin L. Presley (Teresa), J. Lewis Presley (Lon) and Anthony Presley (Catherine), all of Cleveland; friend and caregiver, Mary Allen; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
