Ms. Francis Ann Heard, 72 of Birmingham, formerly of Five Points, passed away on Sept. 5 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 14 at noon CDT at Macedonia Baptist Church in Five Points, the Rev. Tommy Carwell, pastor/officiating; Pastor Cecelia Broome, eulogist. Burial will follow in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in LaFayette.

Ms. Heard is survived by one daughter, Debra Heard; one stepdaughter, Thelma Heard, both of LaFayette; one son, Isiah Heard of Oglethorpe, Georgia; four brothers, James (Gladys) Wright, Leroy (Velma) Heard and Clarence (Janice) Heard, all of Birmingham, and Willie(Dorothy) Heard, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five sisters, Mary Ethel Heard, Bernice Baker and Judy Crawford, all of Birmingham; Rita (Sylvester) Golden and Tina Taylor, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
