LaFayette defeats Beauregard, ready for playoff matchup vs. Beulah

LaFAYETTE — The LaFayette 5-and-6-year-old recreation football team (4-0) finished the regular season with a 24-6 win over Beauregard this past weekend.

In the victory, Jordan Rampey led the Bulldogs with two touchdowns, nine tackles and a forced fumble. KD Heard had two touchdowns, seven tackles and a forced fumble. 

Tyler Lee finished with six tackles. Jha’Meer Jones, Dej Harden and Zacarias Morgan all finished with four tackles against the Hornets.

After completing the undefeated regular season, No. 1-seeded LaFayette now travels down the road to Beauregard for the first round of the playoffs this weekend. The Bulldogs will face No. 4-seeded Beulah (1-3) at 1 p.m. EDT in the matchup. The winner of that game will then advance to the championship game in Ladonia on Nov. 9 to face the winner of No. 2 Beauregard and No. 3 Notasulga.
