Mrs. Willie Jane Chappell Lott, 98, of Valley, passed away on Oct. 23 at the Lanier Nursing Home in Valley. Graveside services will be held on Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. EDT at Shawmut Cemetery in Lanett. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. EDT at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery on Saturday.  

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Randle) Perry; two grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Birdsong and Aimee (Randy) Clark; four great-grandchildren, Luke (Sarah Randolph) Clark, Justin (Syrinna) Clark, Wil White and Temperance Birdsong; two great-great-grandsons, Mason and Oliver Clark; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lott; parents, James and Mary Ola Chappell; brothers and sisters, Roy Chappell, Mac Chappell, Lovie Langford, Mary Pepper, Maggie Nichols and Susie Lankford.  

Mrs. Lott was born in Penton on Oct. 21, 1921. She retired from West Point Pepperell Shawmut Mill and she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lanett.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Chattahoochee Hospice or Holy Family Catholic Church.
