AUBURN — The Springwood School Wildcats (4-6, 1-2) lost to Lee-Scott (5-5, 1-3) 26-20 on Thursday night.

After Jordan Plank scored with 2:49 remaining to put Springwood ahead, Lee-Scott’s Thomas Whatley scored with 28 seconds to go in the contest to seal the victory for the home team. 

Junior running back O.J. Tolbert finished with 132 rushing yards on 21 carries in the effort, while senior tight end Coleman Hull reeled in a pass for 36 yards. 

Springwood heads on the road for the first round of the AISA 2A playoffs to face Patrician (3-6, 3-2).
