George Abney died on Oct. 29 in LaFayette after a brief illness.  

George was pre-deceased by his wife, Karen in 2014.  

George is survived by his daughter, Paula Holigan and her husband, David and their daughters, Amber and Shannon, of Atkinson, New Hampshire and son, Eric Abney and his wife, Martha and their children, Bridget, Emily and Ian, of Fremont, New Hampshire.  George is also survived by brother, Ray Abney; his wife, Laura, of New Smyrna Beach, Flordia; sisters, Joyce Denton and her husband Charlie, of Lanett, Dorothy Sutton, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Doris Ogren, of Muskegon, Michigan.  

At George’s request, no service will be held.
