Man found dead outside of Little Caesars in Valley Friday morning
VALLEY — An 18-year-old male was pronounced dead Thursday morning after he was found outside of the Valley Little Caesars in a vehicle, according to the Valley Police Department.
According to Major Mike Reynolds, employees of the pizza restaurant arrived to open the store at about 9 a.m. to find the unresponsive man in the vehicle. When they couldn’t get the man to wake up, they emergency services.
When first responders arrived, they began life-saving procedures but still couldn’t revive the man. Then, he was transported to EAMC-Lanier and was later pronounced dead.
As of Friday afternoon, Reynolds said the cause of death is still unknown. However, there was nothing in the vehicle or on the body that would indicate any foul play.
The police wouldn’t comment on any reasoning for why the man would have been in the parking lot of the restaurant. Reynolds said it didn’t seem like the man had been dead long before he was found.
Police say the body will be transported to the state’s Medical Examiner’s Office Monday for an autopsy and toxicology screen. The individuals’ identity is being withheld until family can be identified.
