Madden, Mrs. Janice H., a resident of Valley, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. 

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. ET from The Heard Center at Zion Rest Baptist Church in Valley. The Rev. Frederick Stanley, Pastor,the Rev. James Hill, Eulogist and the Rev. Frankie Hutchinson will be officiants.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Valley. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing. 

Public Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019, from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.  Her survivors include  her devoted husband of 45 years, Jefferson Madden of Valley; her beloved children, Jeffunda (Richard) Hoggs of Valley, and Delarius Madden of Atlanta; one grandson, Juenicipal Lowe, Jr., Kaiserslautern, Germany; a god-daughter, LaTika Madden of Lanett; two beloved sisters, Annie (Samuel Lee III) Ross, Valley, and Janie (James, Jr.) Ramsey, Lanett; sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae (Rev. Roger) Walker, Princella Madden, Elizabeth (Jerry) Floyd, Margaret (Rev. Jeffrey) McCauley, Melody Madden and Dorothy Hutchinson all of Valley, Peggy Core of Lanett, and JoAnn Madden of Chicago; brothers-in-law, Wallace (Priscilla) Madden of Opelika, Melvin Madden and Henry Jackson of Valley; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
