Mr. James Kenneth Myhand, 82, of Valley, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at East Alabama Medical Center, Lanier.

Mr. Myhand was born Friday, April 2, 1937, in Meriwether County, Georgia, the son of the late James Felix and Frances Satterwhite Myhand. He was a member of the last graduating class of Chipley High School and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Mr. Myhand worked in Sales for most of his life. Hunting and golf were activities that he enjoyed. He was an excellent cook.

Mr. Myhand was a family man who loved birds and animal, especially his four dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen McEachern Myhand; Two Brothers in law, Bryon McEachern and his wife, June and J.T. Cox and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Myhand was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Myhand Cox.

The family will greet friends at Bethany Baptist Church, Pine Mountain, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, starting at 1 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Mike Yarbrough will officiate.
