Mrs. Alice Ogle Brooks, age 77, of Valley passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 in Opelika, Alabama. She was born on Jan. 21, 1942, in Fairfax, Alabama to the late Albert and Ora Ogle.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her three children, Timothy (Sandy) Brooks of Wisconsin, Tony (Katrina) Brooks of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Tammy Rea (Joe) Bragg of Lanett, Alabama; her eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Joe Brooks; her brothers, J. T. Ogle, Walter Ogle, James, Ogle, and Hubert Ogle; her sisters, Lillian Koon and Sarah Myers.

Mrs. Brooks retired from the West Point Pepperell Corporate Office after twenty-five years of service. She was a very active member of Plant City Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed sending cards to people as a ministry and making pies and sharing them with everyone.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at 3 p.m. (EST) at the Plant City Baptist Church in Lanett. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. (EST) until the service hour at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Brooks to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, alzfdn.org or to Plant City Baptist Church.
