Mrs. Emma Jean Humphrey, 82, a resident of Valley, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at the Bethany House Hospice in Auburn. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. EST Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Robert A. Pugh officiating. The burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. EST at the funeral home.

Survivors include her daughters, Jean Pugh (Andy) & Mattie Brown (Dave); grandchildren, Andrea Barber (Nathanael), Jeremiah Pugh (Lauren), Tony Brown (Dawn), Teresa Peacock (Billy); great-grandchildren, Alayna, Isabella, Emma, Levi, Jesse Elias, Joshua, Jesse Joseph, Jared, Tyler, Peyton, Parker, Emory, & Ensley; two sisters, Cordell Bishop & Lorene Hand; brother, Franklin Barker (Barbara) and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Barker & Emmie Miles Barker, her son, Walter Thomas Humphrey and four sisters & two brothers.

Mrs. Humphrey was born in LaFayette on Aug. 14, 1937, and was a member of the Lanett Church of the Nazarene.
