Two Opelika women were arrested Friday on Interstate 85 after they were found with about 2 gallons of the GHB, commonly known as the “date rape drug” by the Troup County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a news release from TCSO, Lt. Nathan Taylor stopped the vehicle near mile marker 8, heading south toward West Point for a window tint violation.

The news release said Taylor noticed suspicious behavior and deployer K9 Chap for a “free-air sniff” around the vehicle. Authorities say the K9 indicated the presence of narcotic odor coming from the vehicle.
