The body found in the 1900 block of Cherry Drive Tuesday evening has been identified as Richard Brock, according to a press release from the Lanett Police Department.

Brock was approximately 70 years old and lived in the area.

On Tuesday, the Lanett Police Department and Lanett Fire and EMS responded to the scene in reference to an unresponsive person that was found.

Lanett Police Department detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation into Brock’s death. The body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing.
