Mrs. Elsie Grace Butler, 88, a resident of Valley passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Arbor Spring Health and rehab in Opelika. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Darren White officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Daphne Foster (Tim) & Vickie Blanks (Kevin); daughter-in-law, Joann Butler; grand-son-in law, Charles Daugherty; great-grandsons, Chad Daugherty, Michael Foster (Hollie), Chase Daugherty (Jessica), Will Foster (Delaine), & Matt Foster (Leann); great-great-grandchildren, Bryant Foster, J. D. Foster, and Kyleigh Daugherty and two future grandchildren.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Butler, granddaughter, Kathy Daugherty, and great-grandson, William Tyler Daugherty.

She was born in Georgia on July 19, 1931, and was a member of the Baptist faith.
