Ms. Dorothy Jean Huddleston, 79, of LaGrange, formerly of Valley, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at West Georgia Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ms. Huddleston was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Valley, the daughter of O.C. Tenney and Bessie McCard Tenney. She worked at West Georgia Medical Center many years ago but spent most of her working life at the West Point Stevens Mill. In her retirement, Ms. Huddleston enjoyed working outside in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Cynthia Langford and Tammy Huddleston; one son, Jeffery Huddleston; one brother, Bruce Tenney and her former husband, Thomas “Huddy” Huddleston.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Hand of Valley; her brother, J.D. Tenney and his wife, Myra of Five Points, AL; her sister, Brenda Tenney of Newnan; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, Georgia 31909.
