Mrs. Mary Frances Smedley, 101 of Lanett, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Diversicare of Lanett. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020, 11 a.m. EST at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Lanett, the Rev. Shandor Calloway, Pastor; the Rev. Michael T. Stiggers, Sr., officiating.

Mrs. Smedley is survived by her daughters: Geneva Holloway of Lanett and Mary A. Huguley of LaFayette, and a goddaughter that she raised as her own, Mattie Faye Copeland of Atlanta, Georgia, one sister, Ida Mae Travick of LaFayette, twelve loving grandchildren, Timothy (Linda) Smedley of Opelika, Chester Holloway, Tammie Holloway, Norshai Holloway and Burlon (Katrina) Huguley of Lanett, Jarvis “Rude” Bailey, Tyrone Copeland and Tony (De’Andria) Copeland, all of Atlanta, Georgia, Marcus (Dreaka) Bailey of Valley, Tarvis (Cheryl) Huguley of Columbus, Georgia, Jerel (Sasha) Holloway of Newnan, Georgia and Glenita (David) Holloway of LaGrange, Georgia, one loving son-in-law, Albert Bailey of LaFayette, 31 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, two loving nieces, Thelma (Eddie) Jones, Sr., and Dorothy (Roosevelt) Vines, special friend, Tamasha, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
