The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Lake has closed the following facilities and parks until further notice:

The West Point Project Management Office and Visitor Center.

Shaefer Heard, Whitetail Ridge, Holiday and Amity Campgrounds.

Hardley Creek

West Overlook

Rocky Point

Evansville

Earl Cook

The closures were announced in a press release on Wednesday. All other day use parks are either open or have partial closures to picnic areas or beach access. The majority of these parks have lake access or boat ramps.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to meet our critical missions and provide for public safety at West Point Lake,” the press release said. “Continue to follow our Facebook page for more updates.”
