Mr. Alec Welch 51, of LaFayette, died Saturday May 2, 2020, at the East Alabama Medical Center.

Welch was born in Chambers County on Sept. 5, 1968, to the late Herman Welch and the late Teressa Slaughter. He was a student at Valley Haven School and truly loved everyone at Valley Haven.

Graveside services was held Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 3 p.m. at the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by three sisters, Cindy Abney of LaFayette, Gwen (David) Adams of LaFayette, and Cheryl (Spencer) McWhorter of LaFayette; two brothers, Johnny Welch of LaFayette and  Joel Welch of LaFayette; niece, Nicole (Jamie) Brooks; three nephews, Dave Adams, Clanton McWhorter, Stacey Welch.

Donations may be made to Valley Haven School in Welch’s memory.
