Mr. Terry Lee Madden “Big Nine,” 53, son of Mary Linda Smith and the late John Lee Madden was born April 14, 1967, in Macon County.

On Thursday, May 7, 2020, he departed this life at East Alabama Medical Center of Opelika. He was preceded in death by a loving devoted wife, Annie Jean Madden; two brothers, John Eliott and Brian Madden; one sister, Pamela Peterson and a special niece, Kertrece V. Florence.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and caring mother, Mary Linda Smith of Lanett; three children, Jacobie Barnes of Valley, La Wilson of Griffin, Georgia and Jaelin Harper of Lee County; three brothers, Jason Everette Madden of Lanett, Michael Tyrone (Tomeshia) Madden of West Point, Georgia, and Chris Washington of Valley; four sisters, Delilah (O’Neal) Florence, Teresa (Charlie) Williams of Valley, Mary J. Madden Core and Cynthia (Robert) Thorton of Opelika; a loving mother-in-law, Betty Barnes of Valley; two sisters-in-law, Gail Atkinson and Carla Askew of Valley and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
