Mrs. Opal Nevada Stearns, 86, a resident of Valley, AL passed Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at the Bethany House Hospice in Auburn. A private graveside service will be held at Langdale Cemetery in Valley.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Newton (Randy) and Ray Stearns (Sherry); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ray Stearns, and her brothers, J.T. Hendrix and Herschel Hendrix.

Mrs. Stearns was born in Chambers County on Oct. 2, 1933, and was a military homemaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany House Hospice in Auburn.
