Mr. Markevious “ Kevy” Rashaad Harris, age 23, transitioned on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, Atlanta.

Markevious the son of Monica Thomas and Norman Carlisle, was born Oct. 21, 1996, in Chambers County.

“Kevy,” as he was known, was a product of the Lanett City School System and later transferred to Beulah High School. He was a member of the 2016 graduating class. During his high school years, Kevy was known for his amazing basketball skills. He was, also, known for exhibiting a smiling face, great mannerism to all he came in contact with.

His life will forever be cherished by his devoted mother, Monica (LaChelvis) Thomas of Lanett; his father, Norman (Anquonette) Carlisle of Lanett; three brothers, Merrentez Thomas, Everonta Travis, and Stavonte Thomas; one sister, India Briskey all of Lanett; maternal grandmother, Carrie Thomas; maternal grandfather, Samuel (Linda) Heard; paternal grandmother, Minnie (Malbre) Walker; great-grandmother, Emma Kate Elie all of Lanett; five aunts, Shontes (Toddrick) Smoot, Demetrius Brooks, Angela (Morris) Ramsey, Kim Heard, April (Arnold) Lovelace; two uncles, Johnny (Yolanda) Darden, Tracey Heard; special great-aunt, Jackie (Richard) Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

A celebration of life service for Mr. Harris will be held at noon Saturday, July 11, 2020, in the Fairfax Cemetery with Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist and Pastor Tifton Dobbs, assisting.

Pubic viewing will be held on Friday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the mortuary.
