Mr. Jimmy Trammell (Goat Man) Abner, 70, of Valley died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, in Handy Cemetery, LaFayette at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. John Frederick officiating. 

Mr. Abner is survived by his wife, Cora Jean Abner, Valley; three sons, Robert T. Abner, Memphis, Tennessee, Antonio (Dentrise) Abner, Valley and Vincent Giles, Atlanta; one sister, Carolyn Bailey, West Point; one brother, John D. Abner, Sr., West Point; one brother-in-law, Willie Copeland, Lanett; one aunt, Lula Mae Washington, Lanett; a special nephew, Theo Abner, Valley; five grandchildren, one great-granchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
