Chambers County is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. ET Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

The threats included tornadoes, quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour. The storm systems approaching the area have already prompted several tornado warnings in Central Alabama.
