Head Coach RJ McDonald kept preaching to the kids on the sideline “All we can do is play football”! He stated that’s all we can do, we can’t change people in 48 minutes.
The Lanett Panthers fall short to the Beulah Bobcats Friday night 21- 38.
“The game was evident tonight, I’m just going to say that. And it wasn’t the effort of either ball club, it was the effort in attitudes of men,” said Coach McDonald.
Last week the Panthers beat the Bullock County Hornets 14-13.
“After tonight’s game, we just have to keep fighting, we have a long season ahead of us and a region game this upcoming week, a big region game at that! We have to keep fighting, we have to stay in the fight,” he said.
To prepare for next week’s matchup against the Loachapoka Indians, Coach McDonald stated, “We have to go back and look at what the practice plan looks like and just take care of ourselves. We had a lot of cramps tonight and a lot of our guys were banged up”.
The Panthers are set to host Loachapoka on Friday.
