The Village to host Holiday Distribution

The Village and Tree of Life will be hosting the 2024 Multi-city Holiday Distribution on December 14, providing holiday goods for families in need and those experiencing hardship this holiday season.
From 12 to 3 p.m. ET, the community organizations will be inviting residents from Valley, Lanett, West Point and LaFayette out to join the free event.
The event is sponsored by Walmart, Kia, Amazon, Burlington, Givorn’s Food, Kroger and Publix, according to a press release from The Village.
At the holiday distribution this year, there will be over 113 new bikes, battery powered riders and scooters, over $15,800 in new toys, $9,350 in wrapping paper and Christmas ornaments and $21,400 in new household products.
Sponsors also donated $24,390 in new children, women and men apparel, over 215 new shoes, boots and sandals and various canned foods and non-perishables products from the sponsoring grocery chains.
The event will be taking place at the Valley Sportsplex at 130 Sportsplex Drive, Valley, Alabama.
Volunteers are invited to come out and help in the giving spirit. According to the press release, volunteers will receive Federal-approved Community Service Certificates.
