On November 10, 2017 Mrs. Carol Evans was reported missing from her home at 238 Lower Lovelace Road and after an extensive search, she was never located. Since that time investigators have followed up on different leads along with periodic reviewing of the case file.
This week investigators returned to the property to once again search for any remains of Mrs. Evans. A small, swamp-like body of water on an adjacent piece of property was searched with the assistance of heavy machinery and personnel from the Troup County Road Department and a specially trained cadaver dog. After two days of searching, unfortunately still no remains have been found.
This case remains an open case and we encourage anyone who remembers anything from November 10, 2017, related to Mrs. Evans to please contact our Criminal Investigations Divisions at 706-883-1616.
