This press release provides an update on the incident reported on January 31, 2025. It involved a four-month-old infant, Nehemiah Pruitt, who was transported by emergency medical services from Old Jackson Heights projects and later succumbed to his injuries. Chief McCain reports today that an arrest has been made in connection with this incident. Jamesia Brichae Pruitt, a 26-year-old from Valley, was arrested for the alleged murder of the infant. Pruitt has been identified as the child’s mother. This case remains under investigation, and she encourages anyone with information to contact the Lanett Police Department.
