Valley Soccer completes sweep of Ariton

It was a historic night for the VHS soccer program last night on the road at Ariton. Valley completed their second program sweep of the year. Both teams walked away victorious over the Ariton Purple Cats.

The Lady Rams defeated Ariton 2-0 in a hard fought match. Molly Williams continued her great play. Williams netted two goals and had two corner kicks. Milagros Agustin had one assist. Gracie Llorens had one corner kick. Lastly, goalie Katelyn DeLoach had four saves and earned her second shut out of the season.

The boys team had a very productive night. VHS walked away with a dominating 11 – 1 victory. Two of the Rams walked away with hat tricks. Brothers Santiago Diaz and Jose Diaz each scored three goals. In addition to the Diaz brothers, Hector De La Cruz, Cristofer Macario, Andres Barboza, Eddy Leon, and Manuel Fernandez scored one goal. Barboza and Fernandez also each earned one assist. Barboza had three corner kicks. De La Cruz had one corner as well. Goalie Xander Newton had three saves.

The Rams have their first area game of the season next week whenever rival Beauregard comes to Ram stadium on Tuesday, February 25th.
