A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 16-year-old LaFayette High School student. Two others, a 17-year-old, and an 18-year-old, were injured and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

Dr. Sharon Weldon released a statement on the crash:

We are all grieving the loss of a LaFayette High School student. We ask that you pray for his family, his teachers and staff, administrators, and his friends as they learn to navigate this difficult loss.

We ask that you also pray for the others involved in the accident as they heal both physically and emotionally.

When we return to school on Monday, March 31, we will have pastors and counselors on campus for any students, teachers, or staff.  We realize that when we return, many will miss his smile, his laugh, and his friendship.   Please keep the entire LaFayette High Community in your prayers.
