Mr. Jerry Dan (Danny Boy) Wadkins, 88, of Beulah, Ala., died Monday, March 24, 2025, at Lanett Nursing Home.
Mr. Wadkins had a passion for collecting thrift items and spent many Saturdays selling them at the Lee County Flea Market. He had a deep love for his family and loved spending time with them. He retired as a Corporal in the United States Army where he served his country in Korea. Mr. Wadkins was a member of Blanton Baptist Church.
He is survived by Sandra Kay Kennedy Wadkins, his wife of 59 years, of Beulah, Ala., two sons Terrell Bubba (Teresa) Wadkins of West Point, Ga., and Russell (Naomi) Wadkins of Beulah; a daughter, Rhonda Ann Wadkins Harris of Phenix City, Ala.; a stepson Randy Carter of Beulah; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Blanton Baptist Church in Cusseta, Ala., with the Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blanton Baptist Church, 2777 Lee Road 380, Valley, AL 36854.
