One teen dead, two injured in LaFayette accident

ALEX CITY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. Friday, March 21, has claimed the life of LaFayette juvenile.
The 15-year-old, who was a passenger in the 2014 Nissan Altima, was fatally injured when the Altima left the roadway and overturned. The 15-year-old was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Altima, a 17-year-old, and an 18-year-old, who was also passenger in the vehicle, were both injured and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Chambers County 32 near Chambers County 28, approximately three miles west of LaFayette, in Chambers County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
