Opelika, AL – Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) will host the Veterans Community Resource and Education Fair on Tuesday, April 8, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Opelika Campus in the Southern Room.
This event is designed to provide veterans with the resources, support, and guidance they need to navigate career opportunities, further their education, and access vital services.
The fair will serve as a one-stop shop for success, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with employers, receive resume writing assistance and reviews, meet with college officials, and explore career
coaching options.
Veterans will also have the chance to file VA claims and gain valuable insight into available benefits and support networks.
“Our goal is to provide veterans with the tools and connections they need to thrive in their careers and educational pursuits,” said Rosario Thomas, event coordinator. “This fair is a great opportunity for veterans to meet with employers, learn more about educational pathways, and take advantage of essential resources tailored specifically to their needs.”
Southern Union is committed to serving the community by providing accessible education and workforce development opportunities. The college encourages all veterans in the area to attend this event and take the next step in their professional and academic journeys.
