LaFayette Main Street’s next Food Truck Festival will be on Friday, May 9. From 6 to 10 p.m. ET, downtown will be filled with food trucks, booths and vendors. 

As with the other food truck festivals, there will be musical entertainment throughout the event. 

LaFayette was designated as a Main Street community in 2022. Since then, the LaFayette Main Street organization has applied for grants, hosted community events and sponsored new city signs to help promote the downtown area. 

LMS began the food truck festivals in 2023 in response to a Main Street community survey on what residents wanted. 

The city of LaFayette’s Street and Sanitation Department also helped organize the event by blocking off the roads around the courthouse and moving the traffic light at Alabama Avenue.
