The Bobcats got a 10-7 win against Dadeville on Thursday night.

Beulah got off to an explosive start in the first inning. A defensive error allowed Maci Wingo to reach first base. Dadeville then walked Lilly Grant to put two on. This set up a monster home run by M–Tappley to right field to quickly put Beulah up 3-0.

They added on in the second inning, after a lead-off single by Madyson Snedigar and two straight walks loaded the bases. Snedigar would score on a passed ball. At the same at bat, Kyleigh Morgan scored on a dropped third strike. Another defensive error made it 6-0 for the Bobcats. Emmy Wallingham added one more run in the inning off of a wild pitch.

Dadeville was able to get one run back in the top of the fourth, after a couple of hits set up a sacrifice fly.

Things would get dicey for Beulah in the fifth inning as the Tigers’ bats came alive. An error allowed the first batter to get on base. Three straight singles quickly tacked on two runs for the visitors. Then, a line drive double closed the Dadeville deficit to 7-5.

Beulah did not go quietly. Three singles in the bottom of the inning loaded the bases once again. An RBI bunt by Grant gets a run in. Then a single by Tappley made it 9-5.

Dadeville got one run back in the sixth, but it would be too little too late for the Tigers.

Beulah tacked onto their lead with an error in the sixth, to end the game 10-7.

Tappley did the lion’s share of the work, with four RBIs. Willingham and Grant notched one RBI apiece. Tappley and Wingo led the team in hits with two each.

The Bobcats are now 10-12 on the season. They hope to continue the winning at Glenwood on Tuesday. The first pitch is at 4:30 CT.
