Drug Task Force seizes over $200K in Fentanyl, other drugs

On Thursday afternoon, April 3, 2025, Agents of the Chambers County Drug Task Force/Alabama Drug Enforcement Drug Task Force (Region D) and the Chambers County Sheriff Office executed two search warrants in Valley, Alabama. One search warrant was
conducted at 1028 Newton Lane in Valley, Alabama, the residence of Ferrellous Shanoraz Carter and the second one conducted at 1044 Newton Lane in Valley, Alabama, the residence of Cedric Rodrickus Brown.

Agents seized approximately 16,000 Fentanyl Pills with a street value of $240,000.00
(30) Oxycodone Pills with a street value of $450.00
(30) Hydrocodone Pills with a street value of $450.00
(4) Pounds of Marijuana with a street value of $9,600.00
(5) Firearms

$5,654.00 in US Currency

The following subjects were arrested and charged:
Cedric Rodrickus Brown, age 43, of Valley, Alabama:

  • Trafficking In (Fentanyl).
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone).
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone).
  • Possession of Marijuana 1st.
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Ferrellous Shanoraz Carter, age 43, of Valley, Alabama:
  • Trafficking In (Fentanyl).
  • Possession of Marijuana 1st.
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Cedric Rodrickus Brown and Ferrellous Shanoraz Carter were transported to the
Chambers County Detention Facility, where they are both currently held. This is the largest Drug Seizure that has been made in Chambers County involving Fentanyl.

This is an ongoing investigation. No other details will be released at this time.
