Springwood’s Shalexia Little and Tori Patillo were perhaps the easiest choices for the All-Valley first team. They both powered the Wildcats to a state championship this season and garnered well-deserved recognition.

Little was named the AISA Player of the Year, All-State first team and All-Tournament team during the state championship and committed to play at Montevallo. To say she had a good season is an understatement. Over 21 games, the Wildcat averaged 20 points (422 this season) and 6.7 rebounds (141 this season). Defensively, she made 13 blocks and 45 steals.

Patillo did not stay in Little’s shadow, but was a standout in her own right. The junior was named to the All-State first team and All-Tournament team while reaching the coveted 1,000 career points mark this year. Patillo averaged 15.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She led the team in assists as point guard with 50 (2.8 per game).

Lanett’s MaKiah White was undoubtedly the Panthers’ leader this year. The senior was a force with 22 points, 18 rebounds, and eight blocks per game. She led Lanett to a postseason appearance.

TyKasia Williams of Beulah was instrumental for the Bobcats. The senior put up 17 points and 3.1 steals per game. She also surpassed the 1,000 career points this year.

Valley has a talented young team. Kayden Dooley, a sophomore, was especially impressive. Dolley scored 344 points this season (18.1 per game), 137 rebounds (7.2 per game), 57 steals and an impressive 49 assists (2.3 per game).

2nd Team: Christiana Brock, Jaylin White, Jamiah Johnson, Olivia Daughtrey and Nikki Upshaw

The Panthers had the speedy Christiana Brock to make runs inside as the point guard. She put up 12 points, 11 assists and five steals per game.

Jaylin White is by far the youngest player on this list, making her numbers that much more impressive. The tall 7th grader averaged 14 points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks per game. Lanett will be happy to have her for a while longer.

Another young gun that made an impact is Valley’s Jamiah Johnson. The freshman guard put up a healthy 7.2 points per game (130 in total, across 18 games) but led the team by averaging 7.8 rebounds (140 total).

Chambers Academy’s Olivia Daughtrey was a leader for the Rebels. She totaled 230 points and led the area with 153 rebounds. She also had an impressive 19 blocks and 24 steals.

LaFayette’s point guard Nikki Upshaw took the final spot on the team. The Bulldogs had a tough season, but Upshaw averaged 10.2 points per game, six rebounds and five steals.
