Monday marks Memorial Day, and many government buildings and businesses will be closed in observance of the holiday. Those needing to get some chores done should visit city hall before May 26 or stop by the following day on Tuesday.

In observance of the holiday, the City of West Point Administrative Offices will all be closed on Monday. The same goes for the city of Valley Admin Offices, the city of Lanett and the city of LaFayette. 

The Chambers County Circuit Clerk’s office will also be closed for the holiday. They will all return to normal business hours on Tuesday. 

Anyone who needs to stock up on barbecue supplies for the holiday will be able to visit Givorn’s in West Point. Renfroe’s Market in LaFayette will also be open on Monday but they will close at 6 p.m. Central Time. 

As it is a federal holiday, the post offices will also be closed on Monday. The Chambers County Library will be closed as well. However, the Bradshaw Library in Valley is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
