LaFayette man killed in Valley shooting

This morning at approximately 1:40 A.M., officers of the Valley Police Department were called to a residence in the 3200 block of 19th Avenue in reference to shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim, 29-year-old Christopher Perry of Lafayette, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that Perry and another person had been involved in a physical altercation just prior to the shooting. Two weapons were recovered from the scene along with several expended shell casings.
Valley Investigators are gathering statements from all involved parties and will be consulting with the District Attorney’s office for guidance during the investigation.
