The excitement is building up as an event returns to Valley on Memorial Day weekend. On May 24 and 25, the second Annual Valley Fest will once again bring good food, activities, and an impressive musical line-up to the Valley Sportsplex. The event is presented by The Valley Local, and proceeds from the event will go back to the community in the form of donations to local schools, recreation departments, the Christian Service Center, as well as other non-profit organizations in the area.
“This could definitely not be done without the support of all of our sponsors. We try to do as much as we can to give back to the community. This is definitely our biggest fundraiser of the year and it also gives us a chance to bring something fun and entertaining to the area,” said Sara Crutchfield, The Co-founder and Director of The Valley Local. “It will be a lot of fun for everyone.”
The event will feature over 75 vendors and food trucks, with a variety of food from BBQ to Cuban and everything in between. There will be a field of fun for the kids with face painting, inflatables, a spacewalk, and much more. One of the big features will be the Doc Magic Show, a renowned magician who travels around the country performing at various events and functions. He will be performing eight shows, four times on both Saturday and Sunday.
At the center of the event are the bands and musicians that will be performing both days. There are currently 15 acts performing over the course of both days, beginning with the local Miles High Band on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET. Other local acts include The Grey, Poison Whiskey, Kris Dewberry and The Lower Tood, Junior Cardiel, Marde Brooks, and Blaine Rudd. Concluding the event on Sunday will be nationally known musician Corey Smith.
The gates open at 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday for Community Church. Kids five years old and under are free both days, while general admission for Saturday is $5 for ages 6-12 and $10 for 13 and over. On Sunday, admission will be $10 for ages six and older until 11 a.m. ET, when the general admission will be $12 for ages 6-12 and $15 for ages 13 and older. There is also a $40 VIP option both days, as well, that will give exclusive access to separate restrooms and drink stations.
