OVERVIEW:

Severe thunderstorms remain likely across Central Alabama Tuesday evening through Tuesday night. A Level 3/5 Enhanced risk is in place across the northwestern counties, with a lower risk to the southeast.
FORECAST CHANGES:

The forecast risk areas have been expanded slightly to the south and east, including the Enhanced Risk Area (Level 3 of 5) as far south and east as Tuscaloosa to Birmingham to Gadsden. The threat for tornadoes has increased, especially in risk areas 2 and 3 of 5, and the damaging wind threat has been increased up to 70mph.

Where: Much of Central Alabama, or along and north of the I-85 corridor.

When: 5pm Tuesday afternoon through 3am early Wednesday morning.

Threats: Tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70mph, and large hail up to the size of golf balls.
