VALLEY – For Robert Waldrop, a lifelong resident of Valley, Alabama, launching AL-GA Insurance wasn’t just a business decision—it was a homecoming. After years of serving the community in law enforcement, Robert saw a new way to make a difference: by helping neighbors protect what matters most. A year and a half into running his agency, he’s built more than a client list—he’s built a network of trust.

Located off Highway 29, the new business has joined the Chambers County Chamber of Commerce.  Alabama and Georgia Insurance opened its doors to residents of Lanett and Valley on Tuesday, June 24, to reintroduce themselves to the community. Representatives from other local businesses were in attendance to show their support.

Waldrop’s agency collaborates with a diverse range of insurance carriers, providing flexibility in tailoring the right insurance solutions to meet each individual’s specific needs. He covers everything from modest mill homes to high-value properties. Nothing is too large or too small.

At the heart of AL-GA Insurance is a philosophy that feels increasingly rare: personalized, old-school service. “We want to know our clients, do life with them,” Waldrop says. In an industry often driven by numbers and quotas, his approach is refreshingly human. Every policy is a conversation, every client a neighbor.

AL-GA Insurance aims to restore the type of service that treats its customers as individuals, not just numbers.  It isn’t out to be the biggest agency, but rather the best and most consistent in helping its customers.

From hosting community events with bounce houses and cookouts to sponsoring local sports teams and school bands, Waldrop’s commitment goes beyond the office. AL-GA Insurance isn’t just insuring homes—it’s investing in the people who live in them.

In a town where everyone knows your name, Waldrop and AL-GA Insurance are building something that feels less like a business and more like a promise: to serve, to support and to stay rooted in the place they’ve always called home.
