VALLEY – As one of the Top 3 in the 2025 Valley High School Senior Class, Meredith Crawley has worked hard throughout her time in school to achieve the most that she can.

At VHS, Meredith could often be found working within the various clubs that she was a part of and helping around the school. She was also a member of the band and played a huge role in that.

Her favorite subject is math because it has one correct answer that everyone can come to.

When asked about teachers, Crawley pointed to Coach Hall, a math teacher at VHS.

The consistency that high school offered Crawley will be what she will miss the most.

Through it all Crawley has never let go of the person who has driven her inspiration, her mom.

“My mom is my largest inspiration. She tells me every single day how proud she is of me. She tells me that no matter the outcome, she is still there, so try my best and forget the rest,” shared Crawley. “She has taught me how to combat my many hardships through high school and how to persevere through everything life throws at me. No matter how much I tried to argue, complain, and was just plain rude, my mom was always there with loving arms ready to hold and comfort me. When I look at her, I see what I want to be when I grow up.”

In her free time, Crawley enjoys spending time with her friends, reading and shopping. She also enjoys playing the saxophone and guitar.

In the fall, Crawley plans to attend the University of Alabama and will major in Nursing.

When asked what advice she would give to upcoming students at Valley Crawley said, “Do not care what these people think about you. Be a good person and live this life right because it’s the only one you have. No matter how nice and kind you are, some people still will not like you. It’s a crazy world now and it’s like that, but you can’t let it hurt you. God put each of us on here for a purpose and we have to go out and fulfill it. Through doing so you will find who you are truly meant to be around and who will love you and help you in your calling.”
