LAFAYETTE — On Wednesday, David Ennis, who would have been the incumbent for the District B seat, announced that he would not be running for reelection.
He said he withdrew from the race, making the “hard decision” to retire from Lafayette government. Ennis first served on council from 2000 to 2016 and was then appointed to council in 2022 to fill the vacancy left by Shannon Hunter’s resignation. Ennis previously served as mayor from 1992 to 1996.
This year’s election for District B will now be a race between Nell Finley, Kim Langley and Andrew Vines.
